School Never Really Closed This Summer

June brought soaring temperatures and summer holidays to Mirzapur – but it did not bring a pause in learning. While the classrooms sat quiet, our teachers kept the connection alive with online meetings, holiday projects, and regular check-ins with students and parents. And when the school gates reopened, our children walked back in ready to pick up right where they left off.

Here’s everything that happened in a month when school was officially “closed”… and somehow busier than ever!

📱 Learning That Followed Them Home

How do you keep 60 children connected to their studies during the summer break? Our teachers found the answer: you go to them – online!

Throughout the vacation, teachers held regular online meetings with students and their families, offering guidance, checking in on holiday homework, and gently keeping young minds ticking over. Parents were part of the conversation too, which meant learning stayed a family affair even with the school doors shut.

Students were also given creative projects to work on at home – and here’s the clever part. When classes resumed, those very projects became the teaching tools. Instead of simply hearing about a concept, students explained their own work, compared ideas, and learned from each other. Self-learning, creativity, and confidence – all from a stack of holiday projects!

📖 Back to School, Back in Stride

When regular classes resumed after the break, there was no slow, groggy restart. Teachers revised previous lessons, checked and celebrated the holiday homework, and moved smoothly into new topics according to the academic plan.

Students who needed a little extra help received individual guidance, and parents were kept informed every step of the way. The verdict? Enthusiastic participation, satisfying progress, and a syllabus running right on schedule.

🧘 International Yoga Day

Mats out, minds calm! Principal Ms. Swati Chauhan led the school in celebrating International Yoga Day, explaining how yoga builds a healthy body and a peaceful mind. She personally guided students through different asanas and encouraged them to make yoga a daily habit – a gift of wellbeing they can carry for life.

🔥 Yajna Ceremony

The same day, a Yajna was organised at school to celebrate moral values, discipline, and Indian culture. Students participated with real devotion, reflecting on peace, unity, and positive values – traditions that sit at the very heart of school life at Sansar Gyaan Pathshala.

🏫 Growing Our School Family

Behind the scenes, the team has been working hard to welcome even more children through our doors. Here’s what that looks like:

• A fresh face for the school – walls and classrooms are getting bright new colours, and cleanliness is a daily priority, creating a warm first impression for visiting families.
• Better facilities – ongoing improvements to furniture and infrastructure mean a more comfortable learning environment for every child.
• Village visits – our staff have been travelling to nearby villages, meeting both current and prospective families, listening to their concerns, and especially encouraging parents to educate their daughters.
• Staying connected – the summer’s online meetings and project support showed families just how committed the school is to their children – trust that turns into new admissions.
