Prachi

"I want to become a police officer and make my parents proud. This is my dream, and I hope that one day I will be able to fulfil it."

My name is Prachi. I am five years old and I study in Class UKG at Sansar Gyan Pathshala. I live with my father, my mother, my little brother, and my grandparents in a small house in Katawali village — near the forest.

My father works as a motor mechanic, and my mother takes care of us all at home. We live on government-leased land in a temporary house. At night, we have to be careful — there is always a fear of wild animals nearby. During the rainy season, life becomes even harder. The roads are difficult, the house offers little shelter, and sometimes my father's income is not enough to cover everything we need: food, clothes, school things.

Before this school, I studied in a government school. Then my grandfather heard about Sansar Gyan Pathshala, where children are given free, good-quality education. I love it here. My teachers love me very much, and they make learning interesting by using activities and games to help us understand new things.

I love reading, writing, and drawing. My parents have always wanted me to study well and move forward. My mother manages everything at home with whatever we have, and she never complains. I see that, and I want to give them a better life. So I will study hard, and one day I will be a police officer.
