Savitribai Phule Day (January 3, 2025)

Students learned about India’s first female teacher and her significant contributions to women’s empowerment. Born in 1831, Savitribai Phule dedicated her life to education and social reform, establishing the first girls’ school in India in 1848. Her pioneering efforts laid the foundation for women’s education in India during a time when female literacy was heavily discouraged by society.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti (January 23, 2025)

The school paid tribute to Netaji, sharing his inspiring philosophies with students. Born in 1897, Netaji was a prominent Indian nationalist leader who formed the Indian National Army (INA) and gave the famous slogan “Give me blood, and I shall give you freedom.” His unwavering commitment to India’s independence and his leadership of the Indian National Army continue to inspire generations.

National Girl Child Day (January 24, 2025)

We celebrated Rashtriya Balika Divas with special emphasis on girls’ rights. Female students created awareness posters as part of the celebration.

This day was first initiated by the Ministry of Women and Child Development in 2008 to raise awareness about the rights of the girl child and the importance of female education, nutrition, and health.

It also aims to highlight the inequalities faced by girls in Indian society

National Voters’ Day (January 25, 2025)

Students participated in a special drama presentation to raise awareness about the importance of voting.

National Voters’ Day has been celebrated on January 25th since 2011 to encourage young voters to participate in the electoral process.

The date was chosen to commemorate the foundation day of the Election Commission of India, which was established on January 25th, 1950.

Republic Day (January 26, 2025)

The day was marked with a flag-hoisting ceremony and festive distribution of sweets among students and staff.

This historic day commemorates the adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1950, marking India’s transition to a sovereign republic.

The Constitution, drafted by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and other members of the Constituent Assembly, remains the longest written constitution of any independent nation
