Fresh Starts & First Lessons

April brought a new session, new students, and classrooms buzzing with the particular energy that only beginnings can bring.

A New Chapter Begins

Every April, something quietly extraordinary happens at Sansar Gyaan Pathshala. Chalk gets picked up for the first time by little hands that weren't here last year. The front rows fill with wide eyes. Notebooks stay pristine for exactly one day before curiosity takes over.

This month marked the start of the 2026–27 academic session — and with it, a fresh wave of children from nearby villages walking through the school gates, ready for what's next.

Learning by Doing

This month's teaching focused on building strong foundations — letter recognition, counting, and basic maths operations — but the method was anything but standard. Stories, poems, drawing, and group play formed the backbone of learning for Nursery, LKG, and UKG children, turning foundational concepts into something children actually want to come back for.

For students who needed a little more time, teachers quietly arranged extra practice. Homework was given daily; copies were checked daily. No child fell through the gaps unnoticed.

"Children came with their own knowledge — and that knowledge was respected from day one."

A Month That Celebrated More Than Lessons

April wasn't just about getting through the syllabus. The children celebrated, moved, planted, and learned about the world they live in.

6 April · International Sports Day

Running, Jumping & Playing Together

Football, badminton, races, and volleyball — the school yard turned into a festival of movement. Teachers used the day to talk about why staying active matters, and the students needed very little convincing.

7 April · World Health Day

Small Habits, Big Difference

Handwashing demonstrations, lessons about nutritious food, and a blackboard filled with colourful drawings of healthy vegetables. Health education, made tangible.

14 April · Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti

A Story Worth Knowing

Students learned about Dr. Ambedkar's life and his central role in India's constitution — a powerful reminder that education is not a privilege but a right, and that one determined person can change a nation.

16 April · Balloon Jump Activity

Pure Joy, With Purpose

Balance, coordination, and uncontrollable laughter. The balloon activity was a hit — and a gentle reminder that physical play is as much a part of development as any textbook.

22 April · Earth Day

Little Hands, Planting Hope

Students got their hands in the soil and planted saplings around the school. They learned why the earth needs protecting — and experienced, in a small way, what it feels like to do something about it.

23 April · Colours Day

Red, Blue, Yellow… All of Them!

Colourful paper, pointing fingers, and the pure delight of learning words for the world around you. A simple activity that became a favourite of the week.

Building Momentum Into May

The classrooms are settled. The routines are set. April laid the groundwork — now the real work of learning builds from here. Teachers will continue deepening their syllabi in Hindi, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies while expanding community outreach to bring more children into the fold.

Every child enrolled represents a family that said yes to education. That yes deserves to be honoured with everything we do.

Your Support Makes This Possible

52 children are in school this month because of donors like you. Every contribution funds a teacher's dedication, a child's notebook, and a family's growing trust that education is within reach.
