Based on your country of citizenship, various donation methods and options for receiving tax receipts are available to you.
Canadian Citizens:
Donate online via CanadaHelps, or PayPal using your PayPal account or by credit card or by cheque.
Interac® email money transfer is only available within Canada. Please contact treasurer@helpinghandsforindia.org to arrange the money transfer prior to sending.
Cheques are accepted in Canadian funds care of ‘Helping Hands for India’. Please address to 28 Prescott St. PO Box 309, Kemptville, Ontario K0G 1J0, Canada.
Donation receipts will be issued to Canadian residents at year end for donations made in Canada via PayPal, cheque or bank transfer (Interac®) in Canadian dollars.

Indian Citizens:
Donate online via CanadaHelps, or PayPal using your PayPal account or by credit card or by cheque.
Cash donations are accepted in Indian rupees in person at the Anand Prakash Ashram. Donation receipts will be provided if the donation is made in India and in Indian Rupees at the Anand Prakash Ashram. Anand Prakash Trust #1027.
If you are in Rishikesh, please drop by the office and let someone know you are there to make a donation for Helping Hands for India. While you’re there perhaps take some time to tour the ashram, take in a yoga class or enjoy a meal in the dining hall.
International:
Donate online via CanadaHelps, or PayPal using your PayPal account, or by credit card.
If donating online is not accessible to you, we are happy to receive cheques or cash donations in person if you are at an official Helping Hands for India fundraising event.
Donation receipts will be issued only upon request to non-Canadian/non-Indian citizens at year end for donations made via PayPal, cheque or bank transfer in Canadian dollars. It is the donor’s responsibility to apply the tax credit according to their country of residence’s taxation rules.

While we appreciate all donations, we prefer financial contributions over shipping items into India, in order to support the local economy. If you have an idea for donation of goods, please contact us before sending items.
