It’s been a busy few months to end 2017 at our school. Sansar Gyaan Pathshala, which means ‘World Knowledge Lessons’ is the name of our eco-friendly school. We have almost 300 children, from Kindergarten to grade 8, coming every day. Here’s some highlights from November and December 2017:

  • The students have completed their bi-annual exams and so many are thriving in all subjects.
  • A karma yoga event was held, where students learned the importance of selfless service, by helping to keep the classrooms and school grounds clean. We also made some repairs to the roof.
  • On 14th November, we celebrated Children’s Day. The students learned about the birthday of India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru.  The children organized and participated in cultural programs and teachers distributed sweets.
  • The sixth and seventh grade students had a volleyball competition, which was very exciting. When we asked them about their thoughts on sports they told us that it is very beneficial for them to take care of their physical fitness and mental health by leading a healthy lifestyle.
