Our fundraising goal for 2016 is $60,000 CAD. To meet the growing demand for quality education in the village of Pritamgarh, we are expanding by building two new classrooms this year to support grade 6 and 7 students.
The school has been running well for almost two years now and we need your help to keep it going. The budget consists of 67% ($40,000) operating expenses, to cover items such as children’s uniforms and books, teacher and staff salaries, transportation and building maintenance.
Here’s how you can contribute directly*:
Send a child to school. Your monthly contribution provides a standard set of textbooks, school uniform – 1 sweater and 1 dress (girls) or 1 shirt and pair of pants (boys), and helps pays for teachers’ salaries.
Bricks and Mortar program. Your monthly contribution will go directly to the new classroom construction fund.
Children and community sponsorship program. 90% of your monthly contribution will go towards the children of Helping Hands and the remainder will be put into the ‘community pot’ where the funds are collectively used to buy food, books, school supplies and clothing for children in surrounding communities. We have partnerships with orphanages and local schools and deliver these items on a regular basis.
Or make a one-time donation. Every little bit helps, we greatly appreciate your support.
