Where your money goes…
Here is the breakdown of our expenses at Helping Hands for India for 2012:
Office: office supplies and printing of materials for advertising.
Salary: we pay a small salary to our accountant in India who looks after tracking all incoming donations and providing receipts for expenses to the families. We also pay for someone to visit the children at home once per month which helps us know how they are doing.
Sponsorship: money which goes directly to the children to pay for school fees, tuition, uniforms, school supplies and healthy food.
Community: periodically we make donations of school supplies, books and fresh fruits to local orphanages.
